Update - I've tested my Dolan uncle up to 111 markers and done some SNP testing.  He most closely matches a "Doolin" and "O'Moore".  Interesting!

My maternal grandfather was a Dolan, the youngest child of James Dolan and Jane Ellen (Helen) Marr Dolan.  His parents were married in Sunderland, Durham, England.  Their marriage registration from 1894 lists James' father as James Dolan, joiner, deceased.

My uncle has recently done a 37 marker DNA test through Family Tree DNA and his closest match was 35/37 with a Richard Lee Dowlearn of TX.

My mother's given last name was Dolan. She was born in New York City in 1900 at a women named Agnes Dolan Ford. She was given up for adoption shortly after her birth. Her mother gave her the name Mary S. Dolan. I am searching for anyone who may have a family member that lived in NY in 1900 with this name. She said her husband was John Ford. She also said they were both born in the US and the husband had died.

My gg-mother Elizabeth Moran-Keeley-Dunlevy married Charles Dolan. Charles was one of the founders of Hazen, North Dakota. They both lived there until their deaths. I do have more details if you need them.
