Amzi Doolittle (1737-1830) of Warwick, MA ->Townshend, VT -> Winchester, NH

He was born in Northfield, MA; was a founding settler of Warwick, MA abt 1763; embroiled in "spiritual wifeism" controversy there abt 1778 that involved an early form of wife-swapping, resulting in his removal to Townshend, VT; ultimately divorced first wife and m2 his "spiritual wife" Hannah Miller, divorced spouse of Thomas Barber. Two of his sons married two of her daughters, and this collection moved to Winchester, NH by 1820 with Amzi and Hannah. They are buried there.
