there are a lot of Bernards in my line still living and I also have a connection with the Mi'kmaq indians of Lennox Island Prince Edward lsland. I am also distantly related to the Hannings of Maine thru the Bernard line. Have talked with a distant cousin in Maine and we have been emailing back and forth with information.

I am related to a Carl Volk who married my mother Ruth Odesser in about 1923 and had a son, Everett.  Any information about Carl and his family would be greatly appreciated.  I believe Carl father may have been a Rabbi and they lived for awhile in Chicago before Carl left for California.  Thanks Fanita Miller Brandeis
