I would like to find out about my Beeler, Choate, Holmes and Ridge ancestors.  I believe my ancestor Joseph Peavler was actually Joseph Beeler, the son of Ulrich Beeler who fought in the American Revolution as an Overmountain man., I don't have the money to pay for the recently published Beeler book that may or may not have answers.  Are the Ridgs on the Wautauga documentation Ridge or Riggs family?  Who was Elizabeth Nancy Choate;s father?  It seems likely her grandfather was Christopher Choate.

Is this group still functioning? The latest post I see is from March 2010--a year ago. I am new to GenealogyWise, so I might not know how to see the recent ones. I have ancestors who were from Carter County. VanDyke and Nidiffer are the surnames I am researching.

Does anyone have any Cumberland Presbyterians that migrated to Alabama? The main ancestor I am researching is Godfrey Isbell and he joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church during the Great Awakening that spread through Tennessee. There were a lot of Cumberland Presbyterians that also migrated to northern Alabama, so am trying to track Godfrey within this movement.

Just created a group for the Descendants of the Watauga Association. It includes some resources. The settlement was in Washington, Carter, and Sullivan counties. Check it out!

Help, I am researching my Great Grandfather Stephen Douglas Moore from Hawkins County Tennessee. The only thing I know is he was a Constable of the area.

I am researching my Forgey and Roller lines. They started in Hawkins Co. and moved on to Scott Co. VA. The two names are listed on several pages of Families of Hawkins County 1786 - 1999 (VOl. 2). Does anyone have access to this publication? Only vol. 1 is available for purchase on CD? Thanks so much.
