Whose line is it anyway?

Eklund is my married surname. My father-in-law had a falling out with his family and has not been as cooperative as I would like in helping me with my research. Hopefully I can get him to give me just the basics someday as I believe my children will be most interested in this line seeing as Eklund is their surname. I do know that my father-in-law's grandfather immigrated to the United States of America from Sweden.
