Obits of Macon County, MO: "Andrew Eller, 86, died 15 November 1924 in the
LaPlata Community. He has always led an active physical life, and for 64 years
he has lived in LaPlata community and has done most of the excavating work. He
celebrated his 85th birthday by digging a cellar. He was the father of 11
children, 10 of whome are living. His wife died six years ago. The children
present for the funeral are Charles Eller, Kirksville; George Eller and Mrs.
R.T. Perkins, Kansas City; Mrs. W.T. Barnes, Ft. Madison; Mrs. Wm. Allen,
Gifford; James Eller and Mrs. James Burris, laPlata. Funeral at Baptist church
where he was a member."
