Elliotts from Delaware

Hi....I have traced my Elliott line to Benjamin and Elizabeth J. Elliott in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware.  Benjamin (b. 1816) and Elizabeth (b.1819) had 5 children:  Alfred J., Laura, Fannie, Florence and Edwin.  Alfred J. married Sarah E. West and their descendants eventually moved to Salisbury, MD, then to Cambridge, MD.  My wife is an Elliott and from Cambridge.  Would like to know where this line of Elliotts came from (Ireland or England) and if anyone has connections.  Thanks.
