Krista, is this the same Joshua Ellis who may have been the father of Moses Ellis of NH? Moses Ellis was b. abt. 1801 and d. 10/31/1884 in Alton, NH. I'm still trying to confirm that Moses Ellis was the father of Alfred G. Ellis, b. 7/1825 and d. 1/14/1903 in Alton, NH. Alfred married Mary Ann Jones, b. 10/1825 and d. 2/13/1902 in Alton, NH. They were the parents of Elbridge Gerry Ellis, b. 10/1850, and died sometime after 1930, probably in Alton. Elbridge Gerry Ellis and Elizabeth Jane Hayes were the parents of Alma L. Ellis, b. 10/1879 in Alton, and d. abt. 1922, prob in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH. Alma Ellis married my great-grandfather, Selden Bartlett Rollins. The Ellis line has seemed like a brick wall going beyond Moses and Joshua. I'm not even sure if Joshua is Moses' father. I was trying to figure it out with the census records and had not found any other records online to confirm anything. Could the Joshua Ellis you mention be the same one I'm trying to connect to?

I'm a descendant of the Ellis' of Massachusetts/New Hampshire and Maine. Seeking info on Joshua Ellis (b. 1765 in MA, moved to NH.)

Hi, I am a desendant of John Ellis III, his son Radford Ellis and grandaughter Mary Polly Ellis Berry, the same line as posted by the member Bob Ellis on November 8th, 2009!

Hello, I'm looking forward to talking with others in reference to the ELLIS family lines. In my own family genealogy, we have two separate lines of ELLIS that I am tracing. One was my great-great grandmother Maria Ellis who married William Birdsell & migrated from Ohio with William to Kansas. The other ELLIS line, was Ann Ellis who married Edward Culver of England. Ann was born in Massachusetts in 1619 and died in Connecticut in 1678,

i am a beginner at this...i am looking for any Ellis's that are from oklahoma...my fathers name was Jimmy Leon Ellis, he has a brother living in oklahoma his name is kevin and a sister in california....her name is Linda...my grandparents names were James Franklyn Ellis and Norma Lee (Maples) they are both deceased...if anyone knows my family or has any info it would be very appreciated

Researching Ellis line from Amelia Co. Va. into Rowan Co. N.C. then into Ga. John Ellis first in Va. then son John then John Ellis Jr. Indian Trader in Rowan Co. then William Ellis Sr in Oglethorpe Co Ga. late 1700's I have transcribed and posted lots of documents on various GEN WEB SITES all ways looking for new info on the lines
