James "The Regulator" Emerson descendants

Wondering if there are other Emersons out there that are descended from James the Regulator.  He is my 5th great grandfather.  No one seems to know where he came from, but our line travels from Chatham, NC>Anderson, SC>Alachua Co., Florida....  James>Samuel L>James>Samuel Jasper>James Alonzo>Carrol Beacham>James Clyatt>Me.  :-]
