@Linda Gardner - Linda, no I'm not positive of the 1768. That information came from a biographical sketch submitted to the collector and editor of the 1881 History of Knox County (probably submitted by one of his descendants, since Asahel, Sr, died in 1850 in Knox Co). I've found the biographical information in that History to be very helpful, but not very accurate (mostly due to faulty memories, hand-written and difficult to read submissions, and type-setting errors).
