Just spent a great week July 28-31 in Provo, UT where I saw some of you! Let us share our favorite tips that we learned from the FamilySearch presentations.
My wife an I attended together but still needed our 5 children on the team if we were to cover all the great concurrent sessions.
There were dozens of speakers with email names@FamilySearch.org. My favorite was David Rencher, Chief Geneaological Officer of FamilySearch. I focused on German, Irish and Huguenot research sources and methodologies. My wife enjoyed the BYU History sources and the methodology track.
Some vendors and participants were wary from the 4 days of intense inspiration and yearned for the 2 day conference. I noticed they were locals and didn't have to come in from California as I did!
The Southern California Genealogy Jamboree was just the right length for me, but I only had to drive half as far to get there. What do you think?
