I believe my great grandfather, Elisha Rainbolt, was buried in Perry County, TN but I have been unable to find his grave or the exact date of his death, I believe he died about 1886 as my great grandmother Celia Wilson Rainbolt remarried in 1888. Can any one help me with this?

Try the free site familyseach.org and you'll find several records for Elisha and Celia.

Good luck with your search.
I have used Family Search but my great grandfather is not listed except once with Celia and no other family members.
Have you located them on the 1880 census? That might narrow down the area in the county to be looking for the right cemetery. Good Luck, Christy
Yes I located them on the 1880 census in Missouri
I know my great grandfather lived in Missouri and Tennessee but I am not sure when and where he died or who his parens were. My great uncle was born in 1883 and my greatgrandmother remarried in 1888 so he must have died between those dates. They lived in Perry county Tennessee and Scott county Missouri. I seem to have hit a brick wall on this info.
All three of Elisha and Selia Rainbolt's children were born in Perry Co Tennessee. I think he may have died in that area of Tennessee. The youngest son, Matthew, was born August 19, 1883 and Selia remarried Solompm Perry Williams in June, 1888. Her sister Cordelia had died and she married her borther-in-law. Her other sister Sarah married a Parrish. I am going to Linden TN for a Parrish family reunion Oct 9 Yes that is the correct marriage record. In the 1880 census they were in Scott Co. Missouri It listed both Elisha & Selia as age 26, which leads me to believe a neighbor may have given the information The 1880 census states Elisha was born in Arkansas. According to the Parrish's he was in the Confederate Infantry in the Civil War.
This should be him:

Barton Williams may be your key here. He posted this on FAG:

Birth: 1854
Arkansas, USA
Death: 1886
Perry County
Tennessee, USA

All Elisha's family seems to be from Perry Co. TN. He was in the 1880 Scott Co. MO, Census at the age of 26 and birth place AR. This info doesn't seem to be acurate because Elisha and wife age 26 and wife's name Wilson. They apparently didn't know her first name. Secilia should have been 27. If William Kane Rainbolt is his father, it is posible to be born in AR because Wm Kane was a minsiter that moved around. It is said a letter in LDS Church says David listed Elisha as Elisha Geard Rainbolt. Wm Kane did have a son Elisha born 1842 (E.M.W.) but no other was listed in the 1850 or 1860 census.

It appears he returned to Perry Co. TN and was no longer heard of. His Wife married Solomon Perry Williams in Perry Co.. It is assumed he passed away in Perry Co. but burial place unknown.
