Not all cemetery companies are evil. I just found out last weekend that a good friend is now working for a major company that owns several cemeteries & funeral homes. They were trying to think of how to make their interment records public, and I explained to him how FindAGrave works - he was really excited. However he's thinking that they will just set up their own website with the data available for people to peruse for free, as a goodwill gesture. He didn't realize that there was so much interest in burial records!

I agree with Elaine O'Neill...about those who take the photos for the rest of us, as well as those who transfer the memorial ownership(s). Thank you ALL so much!

I just want to say God Bless those of you who fulfill photo requests for those of us who live out of state from where our loved ones are buried. I have mobility issues and regret that I can't reciprocate. I also thank those of you who willingly transfer ownership of memorials to relatives. I especially thank Bob Stauffer for all the Martins in Shannon County, Missouri that he transferred to me.

I hate it too. How can people be so calloused and especially people in the cemetery business!! See my lens on desecrating cemeteries:

http://www.squidoo.com/desecrate_a_cemetery-go_to_prison

and reviewing Cemeteries and Funeral Homes.

Right now, most of the cemetery reviews are in Texas but as more people submit a review, I plan to have all states represented.

I hope they throw these people UNDER the jail!

i saw that darlina... makes me sick to see people's family treated that way. My family is buried in a cemetery in florida that wasnt buring people but cremating them and burying biohazard things in the graves. And not to mention they were not even cremating them fully when they were doing it. Totally disrespectful to the human race if you ask me.

Did you see this? Cemetery desecrated near Chicago. Hundreds of bodies dug up and placed in mass grave. Burr Cemetery... there goes all that meticulous record keeping. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_cemetery_desecration

Find A Grave member # 46581221 - started with my ancestors and branched out from there. Enjoy fulfilling photo requests in the Indy area, and in places where we travel. I love F-A-G main site and the Forums.

Having seen this group, I hadn't realised that there were other people like me. My interest started when my mum died and I used to take my children to put flowers on her grave, some afternoons we spent hours just walking around and talking about the gravestones we had seen and how long people had lived or not as the case may be. My interest has now increased since I started my family research I have now visited several graveyards and started taking photo's. I'm just really glad other people are doing the same.
