I can only trace my Fletchers back to my GG-GF. There were around the Vance/Warren/Halifax County areas in NC. I can't get back any further. I am sure they came from England somewhere but have no idea where.

Re Fletcher line- my 4th cousin once removed called yesterday, and she received some info this week, which confirms the work we've worked on the last 3 years. So, our brick wall has been smashed. :) Though I'm sure I'll keep working on it to 'prove' it a little more. :)

My Fletchers were from England, according to a famiyl history, 4 brothers arrived in MA in the mid-late 1700s, and a Samuel Fletcher left MA, arrived in Delaware, and started a plantation. My direct ancestor was Joshua Stroud Fletcher (ca 1785-1821-5). He served in the War of 1812. mostly in DE, married Eliza Evans of Montgomery County, PA in 1806, they had 4 children who reached adulthood, Mary Ann Long(married James Long), James Washington(married Sarah Ellen Wallace), Joshua S. Fletcher (married Sarah Nicholson) and my line was Benjamin Evans Fletcher. We have a little info on Joshua Stroud from War of 1812 records. We can't find his pension record as of yet....any way, hope to make some new connections.

My Fletcher line starts with my 2nt great grandmother Fanny M Fletcher. her father was Edward Frances Fletcher I can't get beyond him. Edward was born 07 Feb 1802 in Leed, England. he came to the USA in 1820 at the age of 18. he married Lucinda Henrietta Burns sometime before 1834.
