Introduction

Hello,
I am Mary Fletcher Harris, a descendant of Archibald Fletcher 8th chief of the clan, through his second son, John of Inveroran. I was born in Scotland and lived near the small village of Tayvallich, Argyll until my family immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1967. My father is believed to be the last Fletcher ever born in the traditional place of Fletcher origins, Glen Orchy. He has been interested in his family tree since long before I was born. Today we work together, but he is most certainly the expert and I only the apprentice! We are attempting to put together the various Fletcher branches, separated by time, oceans, religion, social classes and other reasons. These branches are to be found in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Africa and within Scotland in places such as Mull, Jura, Islay and the Cowal Penninsula.
