I am looking for someone within this group to be the administrator. If this is something you would like to do, please email me.

Thanks to eveyone who participates in the group, without you, it would be pretty much dead. (My fault, just too many irons in the fire...)

Hey folks!! Footnote is making improvements to their browser! While I love Footnote, that browser has been a real problem. If you didn't catch the announcement, come see the Blog feed.

Thank you so much Jayne! It was like Christmas morning waking up today and finding that email with the attachment!

Could someone PLEASE look up Armer Abdon in the Civil War Pension Index. I can tell the card on Footnote has add'l information that is not showing on the card that Ancestry has. (Such as, I believe, a death date) What I pulled up from Ancestry is a terrible copy that is difficult for me to read, and this one looks like it is much clearer! My email is bonbon2D@hotmail.com if you'd like to email the info on his card to me. Thank you so much!!!

Stacy in searching for different lines I found it easier to search and add words to limit where and what it looks for.. I start with Surname, then state, then a first name.. and back up if first name does not get results I want.. I also misspell and look for other family members names

I feel so lucky to have found so many Rev war pension applications for my family. One of these days going to have time to start looking for Civil War info

The free 1930 Census was an amazing find, still looking in fact.
It's much faster now then in the beginning.
