Andrew Foster, Muskingum, Ohio

My brick wall is who Andrew Foster's father was.  Andrew's mother, Sarah, maiden name unknown, has 5 sons in the early censuses in Muskingum, Ohio.  Andrew was born 8 October 1809 in Morgan County, Ohio.  We have assumed he was the oldest son.  He had a brother, John Foster, and a brother, Samuel Foster.  Sarah had a son, Joseph C. Clark, by a second husband, whose first name we don't know.  Joseph was born in 1822.  We don't know who the other 2 sons were.

Presumably after Mr. Clark's death, the family all moved to DeWitt/ McLean county, Illinois.  Then later they moved to Van Buren County, Iowa before settling in Marion County, Iowa.

Andrew was married to Eliza Briggs in Muskingum, Iowa.  I descend through their daughter, Nancy Ann Foster who married Andrew McDowell in Marion County, Iowa. 

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

Andrrew's father was reportedly born in Virginia and was of English descent.  His mother, Sarah was also reportedly born in Virginia.  Virginia was a big place back then.
