I did post a couple of links in the surname list, however here are some biographies, genealogies, Tanguay's 7 vol set of the first few generations of settlers in Quebec and a regional genealogy.

It should be noted that if you are not familiar with Tanguay, that where he does not have a full date or place he is probably making an assumption for the event so check the 3 vol. Droun (red set), Leboeuf's corrections and Rene Jette's updated work (which is up to 1730 while Tanguay goes to the 1760's).  Have fun.
