Julian or Gregorian Calendars in early Quebec

Since France changed calendars early on did they take the Gregorian calendar with them to Quebec? Sounds logical to me but that means transactions between Quebec and the colonies were on different calendars until 1752. Correct? I didn't think about this until today when I was doing some of my Quebec research.
