Begin your family tree by gathering together family papers, documents, photos, heirlooms. While collecting family records, set aside sometime to interview your relatives. Start with your parents, and grandparents from there write down everything you have learned from your family and enter all the information given in a pedigree chart. Keep copies of everything you find in your search. It may not seem important now, but it probably will be in the future.
