New group member = group goes to top of the chart on the main page

Great - visibility is the "reward" for popularity.

But, for groups who have moderated subscription mode - this doesn't work.

I understand from Debbie efforts are being made to allow subscription moderated groups to be changed to open groups - and I'm very keen for this to be enabled - but in the meanwhile could they, too, go to the "top of the chart" on the main page when they have a new subscriber?
