Appling County

Researching Cribb in Appling and surrounding counties.My Grandfather was Eli Warren Cribb, b. 1845. I believe that Helen Cribb was his mother. It is said that his father was a married man, Ezekial Cothern. Helen eventually married James Williams. Eli was married 3 times. My father was the next to last child of the 3rd wife and was put up for adoption in 1918. I believe Eli was ill at that time, but haven't been able to find out any death info on him. My father and 2 of his brothers were put in th Methodist Home in Macon. The older boys ran away and Daddy was adopted out. There was a younger daughter that was too young to be left at the home. I found a Mary (Methodist Home records says the mother was Mary Hughes Cribb) and a daughter in Ware county that might be them. Mary was listed as a widow. Any info would be appreciated.
