I am researching my line in this area, Ferguson's and the Lochaby's.
I am researching slaves of John Robertson and Cassie Sisson Robertson from Habersham County. John and Cassie were married in 1821.
I'm also researching Habersham County. I am searching for Chandler, Jones, Shore, Ellenburg and Wiley.
Teresa,
I noticed you have Ivey listed as one of the lines that you are researching. I am a descendant of Burrell Ivie of Habersham. Would this be the same family? I was born raised but not currently living in Habersham County.

Hi Grover, Yes I am researching the Burrell Ivie family and have been since about 1982. My husband's mother's line is Burrell>William Wilson>Cranford Mitchell>William Dallas>Minnie. She still lives in Habersham County. I have started an "Ivey Leaves" tree on Ancestry.com but have not put up a lot of the information that I have. Would love to exchange info. I started with Isabella Coffee's reasearch but have expanded it a bit. Earlier than Burrell I have not found good proofs of anyone except his father Thomas. I have Thomas' father as John and his father as Lott, but I'm not too sure about them--no good documentation. Teresa
Teresa,
I apologise for the delay in responding. My line back to Burrell is Mary Ann>Joseph S Hardy>Emma Eunice Hardy> Imogene Scroggs> Me. It sounds like I may not have much to add but would like to exchange. I also have some information on Burrell's wife Christian Ritch's family.
I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas and are on the way to a Happy New Year.
