Since there are so many Fischers on the list of immigrants who arrived in Philadelphia around 1760, I have not been able to identify which one is our ancestor. Does anyone know of records other than ship lists that would provide more details about each immigrant? I know there were some early records at the archive building (Annex) in Philadelpia. Does anyone have experience using these early records? Have they been scanned or put in computer files somehow? Thanks

Elaine,
Have you tried the Fisher mailing list at rootsweb.com... THere used to be a large Fisher group there and I believe if you search the archives you just might find some good data.. Also do you have a Direct line male fisher? Y-DNA testing will tell you if your related to other fishers have a look at FTDNA for a Fisher surname group...
