Sailors of German ships seized by US in 1917

My wife's grandfather (August Gross) was a crewmember on one of the alomost 100 German ships that were siezed by the Department of Labor when the United States entered into WWI. He stayed in the US and became a citizen. He raised a family in the Galveston, TX area where he worked on barges and ferry boats.

I would like to hear from anyone else that is a descendant of a crewmember of one of those ships.
