Tracing Wilde and Bartels ancestors

Hi everyone, I have been tracing my family tree and among the walls I have hit are the Bartels and Wilde family members.

-Both families came to the U.S. from Germany, seperately by the 1860's as both my 2x's great grandparents were born in the U.S.; John Thomas Wilde and Veronica Middleton Bartels.
-Based on some other trees I found on ancestry.com Veronica might be the daughter of Friedrich and Sophia Bartels both of whom were born in the Schaumberg-Lippe area.

I appreciate any and all help that anyone can offer.
