Hello All!

I'm new to this forum, so I wanted to introduce my self. I am the fourth son of Manuel June Gragg (family from Missouri and Oklahoma) and was born in Kansas City MO... his siblings were (or are) Leroy Gragg, Geraldine E., Raymond, Damond, Virginia, Rudolph H., Baffy J., Robertand Lora Lou Gragg

His father was Leroy L. Gragg Sr. and his mother was Grace Irene (Hulvey) Gragg.

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with any of these folks, as I didn't have contact with my father after the age of two. I would like to find out as much as I can about my aunts and uncles. I have located the grave markers of a few of them, but have no contact with any of my cousins.

Thank you in advance  :)

Good evening every one! I have been researching the Gragg family that most of the families ended up in East Central Kansas for the most part of the 19th century. Most of the information I have is on Daniel Marion Gragg, his wife Gertrude Getty Long. They are my great grandparents. I do know the names of my Great Great grandparents, but in my research I don't have much info on his names as I can get on hers. their names are: Robert Gragg and Nancy Emmeline Reaves. For now I will not place the dates of these people until some one asks. Thanks for your help in the future. Daryl

I will have to look at the Gregg/Gragg book to see what Ted Gregg has. I know there are mistakes in there but its a start.

Georgie you are doing great. Now maybe we can find someone else that is related. I show that Robert Gragg/Gregg and Lydia? Harrison was Henry Gragg's parents. The rest of your questions and comments will have to wait until tomorrow.
Have a good evening

Georgie, I have Henry Gragg married first Nancy Crow (with a question mark because I got that from some one else and never proved it) supposedly the daughter of Walter Crow? So that tells me I need to do more research before I claim her as his first wife. My information shows that Henry Gragg and his first wife had Samuel, Elizabeth, Benjamin, and Thomas. He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Pharoah (farrow) b. ca 1784 NC. married 25 Nov 1800 Greene Co. Tenn Children by second marriage were: Robert born ca 1805/1801 Greene Co. TN married 16 Aug 1827 Nancy Brewer, William born ca 1808, Green Co or Cocke Co. TN married 11 Mar 1830 Cathering Jones, died Jefferson Co. KS, John b. 14 Feb 1810 Co9cke Co TN md 1st 16 Jan 1838 Elizabeth Ford. James Harvey b. ca 1812 Green or Cocke Co. TN md 17 Mar 1833 Nancy Ann White, died March 1849 Clay Co. MO This is getting to long, the rest of the children were Jefferson, MahalaM Rachel, Martha Jane who is my ancestor, Henry II, Mary Monroe "Polly" born after her father wrote his will.(child my wife goes with). If you don't have the rest of the data on these last kids I will be happy to give that info to you. I guess we are cousins.

Clovis do you have 2 Nancy Crow's in your family tree? My Nancy is the daughter of Benjamin Crow and Ann Gregg. If Walter Crow and Ann Miller had a Nancy also thats where the confusing part come from cuz alot of people think my Nancy name is Nancy Crow Crow Gragg. BUT mine is Nancy Ellender Crow Gragg.

This is what I have on Robert Gregg SR.

Robert Sr was from Northern Ireland and emigrated to the colony of Virginia as a single man. He married into a respectable family by the name of Harrison and settled int eh neighborhood of Stanton, Augusta County. He was respectable farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was the father of seven sons and five daughters. Thomas, Henry, Robert Jr, and Samuel all married and moved to Tennessee.

In a few years, Robt Sr. followed with his two youngest sons, John and William.

Robert Sr. purchased a fine tract of land and for a number of years lived as a patriarch, surrounded by six sons and four daughters.
