I know that another Haynes came from England around the same time as Gov John Haynes (1633), But to my knowledge there is no one named James in Richard's immediate family.  Usually names are repeated so if they were related you would expect to see at least one James. The name Haines originated from several independent sources: Saxon, Norman and Welsh. So not all individuals with the name Haines came from a single source. I wish I could tell you more. But good luck with you research.

Thanks, Peter. My family went from New Jersey, to Ohio, and to Kansas where I was born.  This family search turned out to be like an Easter Egg hunt; so much fun.  Richard (Dick) Haines
