Does any one know of a Robert HANDKINS in the line? Evidently they went to IL

I was contacted by a descendant and this was the line as she believe it to be:

William Hankins  (b. 1709) m. Mary Evelman ( b. 1712)
2.     Son:  John Hankins ( 1738 - 1797) m. Rhoda Ireland ( 1740 -1822)
3.     Son: Arthur Hankins (1777 - 1834) m. Tabitha Coon (b.  1785)
4.     Son: Robert Hankins (1826-1904) m. Sophronia Sims (1828-1917)
5.     Son: Robert Shelton Handkins (1864 - 1941) m. Mary Ann Gemmer  (1866 - 1940)
6.     Son: Earl Handkins ( 1897 - 1984) m.  Pauline Schweitzer  (1897 -1985)
7.     Children:  Paul, Harold, Melvin & Edna Marie Handkins ... **(Paul is my Dad)
8.     The Earl Handkins’ 11 Grandchildren  ... **(This is my generation - Alice (Handkins) Bair
9.     The Earl Handkins’ 26 Great Grandchildren
10.   The Earl Handkins’ Great, Great Grandchildren….

Generation 4 is where she and I split off in our research. I have nothing for this couple.  I did find a Marriage Entry for them dated 20 Oct 1850 in Wilson Co TN. When they went to Crab Orchard, Williamson Co, Il, at some point the surname was changed to HANDKINS as evidenced by their headstone. I also found an 1850 Census for a SIMS family with Robert Hankins and a weird spelling of Sophronia ....

Have to run off for work but will check back later this evening.
