William Hankins, s/o John & Rhoda Ireland Hankins

I have come across some Hankins research which proves I was wrong about William Hankins and Wilmoth REZCHERTZ

In "Reaching Back, A History of Hankins" by Marie Hankins Orrick "William Hankins of this history is not the son of Daniel Hankins of Pittsylvania Co., VA. The 1820 Census lists the four "William Hankins" descended from the Daniel Hankins line. Also see family group sheets of Carter T. Hankins b. 1794, VA - parents were Wm. Hankins & Martha Wilmuth."

The William who married Wilmoth is descended from Daniel and Hannah Hankins of VA.
