Early Hewets/Hewyts/etc

Hi there,

I'm nearly that far... I've got a Thomas Hewitt who married Phoebe Mercer in 1786 in Liverpool. I have several possible baptisms for him but nothing conclusive.

I have some early Hewets in Lancashire and Cheshire, but there were lots of Thomas Hewets so best to track down some more info first.

I have now put quite a bit of family info (pre 1700) at my blog howetfamily.wordpress.com.  My Howitts came from Howets from Hewitts from Hewets and Huets probably from Huwets.  Cheers.
