I wish I could help, but unfortunately this was from my early childhood and to my knowledge the people I knew are now deceased. The grandmother taught my mother how to make cabbage rolls (they called them "pigeons" I don't know why) and some cookies. I guess I would start by looking at white pages for Frackville, PA and also check to see if the Russian Orthodox Church is still in existence. I live in the Midwest now so I'm not a "local" anymore :-(

Hi Kathleen, would you know how to contact these people?

@ Daniel Ream .... I knew several people with the last name of "Mucha" ... they were Russians who lived in Frackville, Pennsylvania. There is/was a Russian Orthodox Church there and they were members.

My grandmother's parents were Peter Deak, Mary and Julia Luskai and Poli Dienes. They all came through Ellis Island.
