I am confuse how is the professional way to source an italian microfilm.  Above I attach the the web page in www.familysearch.org showing all the information about the microfilm that I want to source:

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/printing/titlede...

Specifically (as an example) I need to source the first one that said: "Indice ai nati 1558-1649 -  FHL INTL Film [ 1102180]", and as an example too the other info that I need to add is "Item #3, Page. 204, Index Z, year 1612".
Can some one please help me to doit in the correct way?
Thank you!

Paula,

In Evidence Explained (Mills, 2009, 2nd ed.) the basic idea is that you site the jurisdiction; series; page, arrangement, or archival ID; item of interest; record repository; repository location; and film ID.

The example Mills gives (p. 380) is as follows:

Week St. Mary, Cornwall, England, Overseer's Accounts, 1710-42, unpaginated, chronologically arranged; see 22 April 1731 account of John Colwil Jr.; Cornwall County Records Office, Truro; FHL microfilm 1,597,004, item 3.

So for your particular case, here's my best guess (not being the least bit familiar with Italian records...) ;)

Modena, Modena, Italy, Registri dello stato civile di Modena (Modena), 1554-1929; Indice ai nati 1558-1649, [page, arrangement, etc.]; see page 204, index Z, year 1612 for [event] of [person]; FHL microfilm 1,102,180, item 3.

Just remember, citing sources is an art, not just a science. Good luck with "polishing" it up!
An Italian expert sent me this answer:

Based on Shown Mills I would first, for the source list entry put:

Italy, Modena, Modena. Civil records, 1554-1929. “Registri dello stato civile.” Biblioteca Civica di Bergamo e l’archivio Tribunale di Modena. FHL microfilm 1,102,180, item 3. Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Then, for the first reference note I would put:

Civil records, 1554-1929, Modena, Modena, Italy, “Registri dello stato civile”, p. 204 (Index Z, 1612); Biblioteca Civica di Bergamo e l’archivio Tribunale di Modena; FHL microfilm 1,102,180, item 3.

Any subsequent note would be:

Civil records, 1554-1929, Modena, Modena, Italy, “Registri dello stato civile,” p. 204.
