US research experience is required for all international areas. Usually some US research must be done before a location can be pinpointed in the international country. So, it would be expected that an Accredited Genealogist be familiar with records that may be used to find the specific location of birth in another country. Some of these records might include US census, military, citizenship & naturalization records, immigration records, church records and vital records.

Why has it never been mentioned that we need to have both US federal and state experience if we are doing International work? I am not sure that I would be pursuing this process if I had know ahead that I would need to do US work. While I can see some value in understanding US records, as a native of England, I have never needed to do any US research and find my "plate full" learning and doing British research. If I am helping an individual with US questions I refer them to an expert on their state.

Where do we access the new international experience tables?
