Hugh Brainard Cochran, my GG Grandfather

I have just discovered information that my paternal Great Grandfather, William M  (I believe Maurice) Cochran was the son of Hugh Brainard Cochran, (born 1842, died 12/26/1916) who married Mary Elizabeth Shortridge, b. 1841 in Tippecanoe, (Fairfield Township) Indiana.  They lived in Indiana all their lives, but apparently Hugh Brainard Cochran's father came from Ohio.  No name is so far available.  Can anyone help me trace back any further?  Or, does anyone have any information on these people at all?
