Hi
In 1870 William W. Roles / Rolls / Ralls and Sarah A. Fisher were married and living in Peru, Miami Co., IN. I see he remarried to a Rachel Miller. I would like to know what happened to Sarah A. (Fisher) Roles and also her mother, Barbara Fisher who lived with them. Sarah was 52 in the 1870 census and Barbara was 75.

Thanks
Fran
I'm researching the Robert Clendening family of Miami Co., IN. The Clendening's settled in the Chili area sometime between 1830 and 1840. Ann Clendening brought her sons Robert and John, and daughters Mary, Alice and Elizabeth from Ireland, through Canada. Ann married Samuel Adamson, and is buried next to him in Chili Cemetery. My ancestor Robert married Cynthia Clymer 8 Dec 1839. They had 9 children before her death in 1863: Ephraim, Andrew, Levi (my gggrandfather), William, Anna, Robert Jr., Ivah, Mary and Charles. Robert remarried twice before his death in 1891.
I have the 1887 History of Miami County IN book by Brant and Fuller. There is a sketch and a bio for Ephraim B. Clendenning. If you do not already have the bio and photo let me know and I will scan them and email them to you.
(or you can just email me bethphelps@cox.net
Thanks, Beth. I do have the sketch and bio of Ephraim.
I recently discovered that my great-great-aunt worked at the Mexico Orphans' Home as a baker (she is listed as the baker in the 1910 census). Does anyone have any information about the home--or preferably any photographs? Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you so much!
Diana
Looking for information on the following people: Walter Baker, born in Miami County IN (maybe Gilead) around 1882. His parents were John Baker (b 1857) and Sarah Barnhisel-Baker. John Baker parents were Timothy Baker and Susan Messinger-Baker. Timothy and Susan are buried in the Old Gilead Cemetery as well as Henry & Laura Baker. Timothy's father was also named John Baker & he is also buried in the old Gilead Cemetery. He died April 23rd, 1867. I would love to find out any information on this set of Baker's. Thanks,
Scubie--
