Comment by Elizabeth H on January 11, 2010 at 7:03pm: They were in either/both Huntingdon and Franklin in PA. They didn't leave many records in PA that I've found (yet), so still trying to pin them down exactly.

I'm west coast and haven't actually gotten out to IN, hopefully someday. I do know the courthouse burnt down in mar 1826 and most records were lost. I checked myindianagenealogy.com and they list this info:
Dearborn County Clerk has Marriage Records from 1806 , Probate Records from 1824 and Court Records from 1824

Dearborn County Recorder has Land Records from 1821

They don't list wills, but I'm guessing 1824-1826 based on the court records (and fire).

I know the FHL has some probate records microfilmed; another McMullen researcher found info on our family in their collection. In case you want to get a head start on your research trip.

Trying to track Edward Jackman who moved in the vicinity after 1787 from Washington Co. Do you know how far the property, wills, and court records go back to in Dearborn County?
