Where do you find the best info online? What are you looking for? I love swapping great genealogy web sites! Start a discussion thread and lets share ideas.

I keep a toolbar of great links for internet genealogy research, and constantly add new great sites as I find them, so it is definitely a work in progress. I'm always looking for great sites to add to it and share with others. Anyone can download the toolbar for free, and you can easily uninstall it if you don't like it. http://RelativelyCurious.OurToolbar.com/

One of the best 'cards' for genealogy is free - a library card! Most public libraries provide access to Ancestry.com from within the library, and usually their websites offer different genealogy databases for free, that you can access from home with your library card number. HeritageQuest is one of those, which includes all censuses from 1790-1930, a huge collection of digitized family and local history books, Revolutionary War Pension Applications, US Serial Set, Freedman Bank Records and the PERSI (Periodical Source Index) index of genealogical journals.

Im joining this group in hope of finding true free information. I cant afford a credit card, and every time I get a lead on something, thats what the site asks for. I use www.familysearch.com and www.us-census.org to get some of my information. I can log into the ancestry.com to view the discusssions and get son use ful leads also. Thanks 4 any help and tips you can offer !

Just a tip - to find foreign genealogy websites, use Google's Language Tools to search for ~genealogy in the language of your choice. The results will be genealogy related websites in English, and may open up a whole world of information on your foreign ancestors!
