My Iowa connections started in Davenport IA in 1942, as a Kellams. I married Robert (parents were Miles and Angeline) Robinson and moved north to Welton, IA and then Maquoketa, IA where I returned after being in Illinois for several years.
My Iowa families include Kellams, Hammerstein, Hersey, Robinson and Kimbel.
My relative, George Kimbel, was a part of Dubuque and Bellevue history, as well as Richard A. Kimbel, who, along with four brothers, all were licensed riverboat captains. The family also operated Kimbel Park, and isand near Dubuque.
