Mrs. Sheehan: I have a whole list of people I am trying to find out if they died in Marion County. Most may have died in late 1800's. Starting with any Langeraks, Vander Meers,Notebooms. Will add more later. Sharon

Amber Crooks volunteers to look up things for Chickasaw County. I have some questions, and thank you for your efforts to help.
My grandmother was born in England in 1878 and was brought to the US as an infant. I've not been able to find the family in 1880. They settled in Wisconsin - were in Waukesha Co. in 1900. That census says my grandmother's sister was born in Iowa, in Dec. 1886. I could not find the family in Iowa in the 1885 census either. Just recently I found the sister's marriage record, and it says she was born in Ionia, Iowa.
I want to know, is the Ionia in Chickasaw County the only one in Iowa? And is there a record for the birth of a girl named Alice Robinson perhaps in December, 1886 - father's name James Robinson, mother's maiden name Mary Jane Hansom [often transcribed as Hanson, but it was Hansom, ending in an M], both parents born in England?
Secondly, the story in the family is that James Robinson was a Methodist minister, but the 1900 census does not say that, and it is the only census I've found him on for sure. Are there any lists of ministers in the area for around the mid 1880s that might tell us if that was why he was in Iowa at that time?

Where could I find a list of those buried in the Arbuthnot Family Cemetery located in Tama County Iowa? I'm sure I have relatives buried in this private cemetery.

Hi, My Iowa research for my husband's tree is in Polk, Appanoose Counties mainly. Surnames: Gates, Richards, Watson, Bowman, and Wilcox. For my tree: William A. Standish, his wife Catherine Billingsley and their related family they resided in Decatur and Green Bay counties. Some of the family members are buried in Green Bay Cemetery. Always looking for those related to this family.

Hello. I research Brinson and Wilkinson in Madison County. They were early settlers of the county from Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. In particular, I am trying to find the deaths of Thomas M. Wilkinson and Nancy Jane Brinson married 1850 in Madison County, and in later census there.
