Hehir/Hare/O'Hare from Ireland : Looking for clues to where they are exactly...from Donna

I have one Patrick O'Hare as a great grandfather in my mother's side of the family.  He supposedly worked as a ship's engineer on one of the boats that came from Ireland initially and later he emigrated from UK (England near St. Alban's Abbey) via an English vessel to NYC, Ellis Island's entry point.

His wife's name was Elizabeth Brady and her parents were James Brady and Annae Joannae Brady (more commonly known as Joannae).

Patrick's family is harder to track for some reason; while I have all the names and dates of many O'Hares/Hehirs/ the exact lineage is hard to place due to the scattering of family members across Ireland near Isle of Man and as far as Ulster.  There are some in Kilkenny, some in County Clare, some in County Cork, and some were Muenstermen.  I only know that they fought for the O'Briens with the extant Kings of Ireland during the Cromwellian phase of Tudor History.

I need any connections I can find to get the line straight in record and in my mind.  Any help is appreciated.  Please contact me at dgsmeall@me.com,

Thanks fo ryour help!
