Hi, everyone. Anyone here researching Newry, in County Down? My Rea family "brick wall" is my g-g-g-g-grandfather Matthew Sutherland Rea who emigrated from Newry with his wife Elizabeth and children James, Jonathan, Fanny, Margery and Robert Scott Rea in 1774, to Pennsylvania, settling in the Amberson Valley of Fannett Township, Franklin County.

I connect to Kiernans of Kilmore, County Cavan, Ireland. My family immigrated into Newark, Essex, New Jersey. Patrick Fitzsimons married Fanny Kiernan.

I am looking for any information about the surname Miltimore. This family was alledged to be from Londonderry or Antrim. Two sons James and William emigrated to Londonderry, New Hampshire between 1750 to 1760.

Does anyone know anything about a group of Sephardic Jews who settled in County Cork in the late 1490's after they were expelled from Portugal?

I am searching for records in the small town of Toomevara, County Tipperary. As far as I know and from everything I have found all my roots are there. Looking for the parents and sibling of my gggrandparents. James O'Meara and wife Hanora Egan and the same for the other side John O'Donovan and wife Mary Penders. My Ggrandparents were John O'Donovan and Elizabeth Mary O'Meara.

I am looking for information on Patrick and Thomas CRILLY (Born abt 1845) from County Down. Thomas emigrated to Cleator Moor in Cumberland and married Mary Cronin (about 1845) from Ireland in St Begas Chapel Cleator Moor in 1868. They had 4 childrem, 3 sons emigrated to the USA in the late 1890's-early 1900's to Butte Montana and then some of the family relocated to Michigan. Patrick was a farm labourer in Ireland. His son Thomas was a miner in Cleator Moor. Mary Cronin's father was Francis and was a joiner, he moved to cumberland with his children, Francis, Thomas, Mary & Catherine Cronin. I would be grateful for any help.
I also have lots of photos of gravestones from St Mary's RC Church in Cleator where there are many Irish born families buried. Please ask - you never know I may have the one you are looking for.

I am looking for additional information of my Fitzgerald ancestors who came from Ireland in the early 1800's. John Fitzgerald and Emily Tennyson. Their first son, William was born in New York City in 1840. My GGGrandfather, Thomas was born in Danville, Pennsylvania in 1848. I have been stuck on John and Emily for almost 10 years! Any new info would be wonderful!

Interested in surnames, BRENNAN, CLARKE, CANAVAN, SHEEHY, OCALLAGHAN, CALLAGHAN from the Dublin area in the mid to late 1800's. Our branch of the the Brennans and OCallaghans migrated to the UK in the early 1900's.
