My husband's mother was from Castle Blankey east of Galway. She came to the U.S. around 1918. I believe her sister moved to Canada. Manning could also be spelled Mannion.
I believe that John Donovan married Ellen Manning and that they had a son Timothy on 04.04.1819. Timothy married Johanna Sweeney on 10.06.1839.
I would be interested in hearing from anybody interested in my research.
