Izards in Texas
If your name is Izard and you live in Texas we are probably related. My Izards arrived in Texas in the 1850s, coming South from the Forrest City, Arkansas area and stayed to spread out over Texas.
Though they came from Arkansas, we haven't proven their connection to George Izard, Territorial Governor of Arkansas or his forbear Ralph Izard who was a member of the Continental Congress.
