In the name of God, arisen I Samuel Walters of Jessamine County and
state of Kentucky, being of a sound mind, memory, reason, and
understanding, and calling to mind the mortality of my body, knowing it is
appointed for all men to die, do make, ordain, ratify and declare this to be my
last will and testament. First I commit my body to the earth to be
buried in a plain decent and Christian like manner, and after my funeral
expenses and all my lawful debts are paid, do dispose of the remaining
part of my estate in the following manner:

I do give and bequeath to my loving wife Sarah Walters all my estate
both real and personal during her natural life except one three year old
bay mare, and one two year old bay mare, two cows and two beds and
furniture which I give and bequeath in the following manner:

To my daughter Betsy, wife of Thomas Edwards, I give and bequeath the
above mentioned two year old bay mare and a certain cow now in her
possession. Also a bed and furniture which is also in her possession. And to
my daughter Polly, wife of Joel Organ, I give and bequeath the above
mentioned three year old bay mare, the cow and one bed and furniture, and
with respect to a debt that is due to me from John Freeman. Provided
that the said Freeman should get a sufficiency of salt water to carry on
the salt making business, I direct and require my executors to apply
the yearly income that will be coming from the said John Freeman to the
use of the education of my children or so much thereof as they may think
necessary. I also require and direct my loving wife Sarah Walters by
and with the consent of my executors, to give to each of my daughters
when they marry as much of my personal estate as I have bequeathed my two
oldest daughters, and at the decease of my wife, I direct that !
my executors sell my land and personal estate and divide the money
equally between my sons Sampson Walters, Samuel Walters, John Walters,
Francis Walters and Luke Walters.

Lastly I nominate and appoint Samuel Rice and Samuel Morrow, both of
Jessamine County, my sole executors of this my last will and testament
hereby revoking and disaemilling all former wills and testaments by me
heretofore made. In testimony where of I ____ set my hand and seal this
Eleventh day of June One thousand Eight Hundred and four.

This last will and testament of Samuel Walters deceased was produced in
court proven by the oaths of William Moore and Nancy Moore, two of the
subscribing witnesses therein named and ordered to record.
