I am David Williams; my ggg grandfather Green Reeves was married to Sarah Jane Johnson, who settled near Gonzales TX in pre statehood Texas ... ... Sarah Jane JJohnson was a full blooded Cherokee ;;; any nfo would be great ... Sarah Janes father was James Johnson but we have some trouble finding her mohter's name ...

I am a Johnson, Great Grandfather  was Alfred Gunder Johnson (Gunder) lived in La Crosse Wi, buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.  His wife was Carrie Knutson Johnson also buried at Oak Grove.  They both came from Norway.

I am a Johnson by birth....my family is was Lee and Scott County of Virginia.  My father; Howard Johnson, son of David B. Johnson, son of James Johnson who married Annie Sturgil.  I have found nothing on James or who his parents were.  Can anyone help me?

I am a Johnson by birth and researching this line.  It is as follows:

Alvin E Johnson + Olivene Lytle - my parents. both born in Illinois

Edward W Johnson + Bessie L Barber - my gr-parents. both born in Kentucky

John W Johnson + Eliza M Abner - my gr grandparents. both born in Kentucky

Perry W Johnson + Sarah E Decker - my 2 gr grandparents, both by in Kentucky

John Johnson + Almena Elliott - my 3rd gr grandparents. both born in Kentucky

John and Almena were mar. in Morgan Co Ky in 1840 and moved their family to Cumberland Co Ky in 1868.  Looking for siblings of John and his parents.

Dean, you can get the marriage record from  Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT, Film # 0877736-0877737. according to the ancestry record.  I hope this helps you.

Hi Dean Gordon Johnson, I can see marriage records on Ancestry where William Ira Johnson is recorded as WILLIAM J JOHNSON (I am searching for this name!) anyway - it says his father was John Johnson and mother was Lydia High.  in the 1870 census they lived in Lynn Ward 3, Essex, Massachusetts - there was father John Johnson aged 56 , mother Lydia P Johnson aged 54, Lizzie A Johnson aged 24, William J JOHNSON aged 19, Carrie R Johnson aged 15 and Charles H. Johnson aged 6.  William, in various records was recorded as WILLIAM I, WILLIAM J AND WILLIAM T.  I am searching for my gggrandfather William J Johnson so it popped up for me.  Let me know if you want copies of these records - I have saved them and will need an email address to send them to.  Mine is sharon@tdtvictoria.org.au - thank you Dean.

I"m looking for information about the parents of

William Ira Johnson

b. 09 Oct 1851 in Ipswitch, Mass

d. 03 Jan 1921 in Sacramento, Ca

He married Judith K. Long from Mass.

His son, Harold W. Johnson is my paternal grandfather.

I've seen his father listed as John Johnson and his mother as Lydia,

but have not see reliable documentation for this, nor is Lydia very descriptive.

I thought Mass. would have good records, it does for the Long family.

They were still living in Mass in 1880.
