Researching Pigg, Merrill, Williams, and related families, and Smith and Lewis descendants in Cherokee County and adjacent counties. Williams was an early settler.
Also - I can do research in Cherokee County.

My name is Valerie, I'm new to this sight, so I don't know if I'm doing this right. I'm trying to get more information on the Williams side.I've gone back to Keelen Williams, who married Mary or Minnie Smith, who was Choctaw. They had a son- John Williams , who married Eliza (only listed Williams) they had Tinza, who married James Davis (an Indian Scout and interpreter for the army)

I've heard Eliza was in the Trail Of Tears, but I lack the understanding to get more information.

My email is mommy222@juno.com

Your Williams names do not look familiar to me, sorry.

Hi Rosemary, I just joined this site.  Thank you for refering me.  If your able to find out anything about James Martin please let me know.  :)

Hi Deborah.  Welcome to Genealogywise, and Cherokee County, KS group.  I am glad you found your way here.

The weather is too bad to search for Martin.  Later.

I would imagine that your having some pretty hairy weather there.  The sun is shining here but it's cold!
