Hi

I would very much like to find out what became of my 4xgreat grandmother Matilda WOOD who emigrated in 1872. It is likely that she died in Russell County but I do not know how to find a record of this

In 1880 Center, Russell she is with some of her family as follows.
John Wood, 27 farmer England
Mary Wood, 40 sister Eng
Matilda Wood 72 mother Eng
Henry Wood 5 nephew NY
Frederick Slatter 23 labourer Eng (this is actually Matilda's grandson)

I couldnt find her after this but I did find her son-in-law John SINFIELD in Center Township Russell in 1900 aged 48 farmer with two of his sons.

I also found another of Matildas sons in 1910 Center Township Joseph WOOD age 66 Eng and two sisters aged 74 and 61 which are too hard to read.

My ancestor Frederick, another of Matilda's sons, remained in London.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me trace Matilda Wood's death/burial. Or if you have a connection to the family maybe I have information to share from before they emigrated.

Regards
Lyla
