My Kelly or Kelley search begins in New Jersey in 1820.  His name is Edward Kelly.  He was born somewhere in New Jersey but I have no clue where.  His father was born in Ireland, according to the census records I have found.  His mother was born in New Jersey, according to the same records.  This would mean that his father came here before he got married so that gives me some guessing room as to what age he arrived.  Unfortunately, I have no names for either his mother or his father or any siblings. 

I am looking for anyone, anywhere, who has a connection to this Edward.  I've been hammering at this wall for too many years.  What I have to share is where he has been since 1840 until his death in 1889 in Neptune, Center Twp, Mercer County, OH.  I have spouses, children, etc. 

Is anyone looking for Edward Kelly born in 1820 somewhere in New Jersey???

Grandfather James Bernard Kelly (1932 Ontario, CA), Francis Joseph Kelly (1900 -1957, Smith Falls, ONT), Patrick John Kelly (1859-1920 Smith Falls, ONT), Thomas Kelly (1818 in Ireland-1890 Smith Falls, ONT), Michael Kelly (1789-1851 Ireland).

My Kelly ancestors came from Dualla, Tipperary, Ireland. Earliest found is Cornelius Kelly who married Mary Mulloughney/Maloney etc in 1834. Their children, one being my gg grandmother, Margaret Alice Kelly (known as Alice) migrated to Australia in the 1850s. Alice married John Morgan from Derrynoose, Armagh, and they and their descendants were licensees of the Cross Keys Hotel in Essendon, Victoria for many years.

James Kelly was born abt 1804 in Pa. His wife Francis Fess was born abt 1813 i Pa. I have the 1850 census with them living in Pittsburg,Allegheny Co Pa and having 6 children. I think her parents where born in Switzerland.
Their one daughter,Jane would be my grx2 grandmother.

My Kelly's supposedly were from County Down Ireland. Oldest know ancestor-Nathaniel Kelly-who was married to Ann Smiley-they came to USA-settled in PA--line later went to Ohio and IA.

I'm looking for my gg-grandmother, Mary Ann KELLY. She was born 1824 in Connaught Province, Ireland. She married Thomas MORAN, born in Mohill, Co. Lietrim. They came to the US in 1850's with their daughter Elizabeth. They lived in Janesville, Wisconsin & later in Hazen, North Dakota, where they both died.
