Hi Kemp researchers,

It has been a while since I posted an update here. Please stop by the Kemp ONS or Kemp DNA study as both have made significant progress since I last posted.

The Kemp ONS (www.kempfamilyhistory.com) now has over 97,500 individuals with a large number of Kemp trees being reconstructed. I am also currently transcribing F. Hitchin-Kemp's book and linking up our lines.

On the DNA front, we have had a number of new participants join and we are aligning the DNA results with the Kemp reconstructed trees in the ONS.

Andrew, I did the Family Tree Family Finder DNA test.  My results have been very positive on my father's side. His 5th great grandfather was James Kemp. Do you have any Family Finder results on the DNA studies?

I have only been able to get my Kemp family back to James Kemp who died before 24 Oct 1798, when the family was settling his accounts.

I have not found anyone else researching this line.  I am stuck at this point.

My 2nd great grandma was Amanda C Camp who married James C White. I have found that the My Camp line runs into the Kemp Family lines

Kemp family history site is now up to over 11,000 Kemp's so please ensure you stop by and check to see if your Kemp line is captured as yet.

 

Australian BDM indexes complete, New Zealand started and some US research added.
